Xe Máy Độ-Xe Máy Độc: Carb rebuild

CB160 Racer Carb Carnival

They are always easier to tear apart than they are to put back together.
.......holes in float bowls......faulty choke systems...ruined rubber gaskets......
Didn't order rebuild kits because I was thinking it could be a waste since the money would be better spent on a new set of Mikuni carbs...if it comes to that...
....come on Keihin, prove me wrong.

A polished turd is still a turd?
Let's hope they still got the vroom.
MidOhio patches found!

CB360 Carb tear down and inspection

Probably won't need a rebuild kit for what I am using these carbs for.......
Diaphragms both looked good.
Reconditioned them for fun.
Dip parts, rebuild, start it up tomorrow?
Only if my gasket comes in.
I would like to hear this bike run before I put Jessy's up for a little re-wire.....

CB200 Carb time

The CB200 needed a carb augmentation.

Proper parts.

Inspection.

Carbs off.

Fuel filters are a pain per usual.

Everything is hooked back up.

Shawna goes for a ride!

I don't think so....

おまけにビデオ!

1976 Honda XL250 Carb rebuild

I intended to just flip this bike but when a friend wants it, you have to give it some real attention.
Carb rebuild.....I will have it for you by Friday!!!

Didn't want to have to do this but I am glad I did.
The "mechanic" I bought this bike from must not have had a float bowl gasket..
...so he used this red crap that obviously reacts with gas.
I wonder why it was cutting out at 4,000/5,000RPM on the way to the gas station today.....

Stripped.
I think I want to make a dirt-bobber out of one of these or an XL350.
Not for me though...who wants one?

Carb bath and new jets, needle and gaskets on the way.

Oh yeah...went on the first mini road trip of the year today.
Too much to post....coming soon.
