Xe Máy Độ-Xe Máy Độc: Motegi

Masaru is the man

I stumbled upon these tonight as I was avoiding Shubiki and his OPT files.....
I must apologize for my face being in too many of these.
I miss Masaru and I miss Japan.
The cut off age for the JET program is 35 right?........

CL250 parked outside of Nike park in Shibuya.  Nice.....

Just left MXMXM....bombing the hill under the train tracks going to get some ROLAN!

Yeah, another smith grind.....

Vegan Donuts in Tokyo.
Again, try to focus on the neat characters in the background of the post office or that guy with the hat.

Masaru hooking it up taking me to the Honda collection hall at the Motegi raceway...I owe you big.

Don't remember the name of this park but it was SOO hot.  I definitely had some skate hangover the next day.

Climbing wall next to the park.
1...2...3....飛べ!

Motegi Collection 1979 Honda MB-50

1979 Honda MB-50
This was Honda's first 2-stroke sports bike and it had a single balancer, another first.  From the X-backbone frame to the low vibration high horse power engine, this was truly a unique bike at the time.
Look at how skinny that headlight is.  I bet this thing rips.

1971 Honda Benly CB50 Motegi collection

1971 Honda Benly CB50.
Single overhead cam 50cc engine.
I would love to have one of these to run errands on....
The engine looks exactly like the old xl 100 engine in the garage...hmm..

Honda Benly SS50

Motegi Honda Collection Hall
1967 Honda Benly SS50
This little guy had a 5 speed transmission, rare for the time and the most powerful engine in its class.  Kind of looks like a re-designed Honda S90.  This bike was designed to appeal to techno fans.  Whatever that meant in the 60's.

This is a bonus...
CB125 Twin from the 70's?
"Big motorcycle speeds with little motorcycle handling"
I guess these are super rare, only about 2500 produced worldwide.
