Xe Máy Độ-Xe Máy Độc: 1965 Honda CA95 Dream Benly

2-22-2 Wheels.

White wall Saturd-day.

Picture me rollin'.

New....uni air filter, handlebars, internal throttle slider, used nos exhaust.
More torque in higher gears, faster off the start.
 Time to clean.
Ugh.
 Release.
 Repent.
Repeat.

 Scrutinizer.
 Non-motor white wall.
 Where did daddy go?
 Needs a little more love.
 Snobby smell of spring.
Summer.....Time......to start rebuilding this bike.

Slowly but Slowly.

New chain for the rusty tank bicycle.
Mozzy is not amused.
Finally got some wheels in my size!
Let's see if they flat-spot.
Tinker Spring is coming soon.
I had it all together...then did it again.
Those perches have to go on first, dumby.
Rusty old bike is done-ish.
Still needs lubed in a few places but I want to ride!
White walls on white walls.

The Thailand Fiasco.

Just kidding..... but really though.

When you order from Thailand the following things always happen.

-You pay way too much for shipping
-You wait at least a month for your part
-Anything rubber, in my experience, doesn't last long
-Metal parts aren't as thick/sturdy

Some of the cut-outs for the internal wiring and internal throttle need cleaned up.
The bars overall seem really light......
 A little love from Japan
Thanks Yuto and Masako!

1981 hates me. I was only 1. Come on.

I think he was bummed too.
What is a CB715?
:/
Screwed by a 33 year old clerical error.
See you next time!
At least this came in the mail today....internal throttle stick-fix.
Now if only Thailand would hurry those new bars up....
Moyou is even over the affidavit of ownership dance.

Fork. Dream. Tank.

 Fork Face.
Prepped & Painted.
Rebuilt.
Fill'er up.
5.7 ounces.
 Tank art.
This thing has had many paint jobs...
I don't like using chemical heavy stripper.
I don't like this stuff either.
 Grey.
Maroon.
Blue.
Grey.
White primer.
Metal.

Ug.

Dreamy time.
Clutch inspection.
 Spring seemed to me strong.
Hmm...

Baby dream, Baby.

Handlebars.
Left side.
Bent.
 Strip.
Heat.
Mend.
Hot water trick.
Got off the grip.

50 years and 10,000 miles later.
Insides of these looked so new...

To. Do. Dreamin'.

Long list.
I love this bike.

Modeselektor. Rapanthem.

CB160 woes.
 Lucky to have options?
They all need rebuilt.
The chromed up shroud is the most annoying thing in the world to take off....
Moyou agrees.
 To do.
Dream.
 Clean up the wiring.
New rectifier.
Sitter cover.
 New veins in the controls.
Bar-bender fixer-upper.
I don't think the clutch returns as youthfully as I feel when I ride old beans.
I am going to put in a new or stiffer spring in the clutch mechanism and see if that helps.
I need a classier exhaust, also.

Saturday Sunshine Garage Day

Finally got these in the mail.
1+ pistons for the CB160.
Piston helper tool man.
Cleaned up the repaired CL160 exhaust.
CL160 tank mounted, petcock gaskets ordered, seat re-worked.
Moyou aproved.

Gas drained, baby dream stripped down...
New petcock.
Letting the gasket compound cure.
Gas tomorrow or Monday.
 Fairing on the C2.
Still needs adjustment.
Not yet Moyou approved.
She said it stinks of Harley.
