Xe Máy Độ-Xe Máy Độc: 1967 Honda CB160

Fork Fix.

Got some help from Z.
Finally got the chrome fork seal holder covers off...
Here is what is left.

I am not sure which is newer or better or whatever.
2 with brass bushing<>2 with steel?
I had read that it was hard to find the right cb160 fork seals...
I ordered what I could get and of course they were the smaller OD easier to find kind.

No matter,  just modify the metal shell of the old one to fit......
Time to turn.
Not perfect but it should work.
 Be safe out there.

Cleaning house

On and off the lift in the same night.

Never heard of it.

Clearance.

Moyou knew I had a hard week so she got these for me.
 From rusty.....
 to race chrome.
 Finally time for a tune.
Tappets (were) super loose.
Timing (was) way off.

Maiden Voyage

The not so triumphant maiden voyage.

Soft mounted the tank.
No gas leak!
Configure the exhaust.
Grizzle and Moyou approved.
The starter motor linkage got xed.
 Tomorrow we start tuning.
An maybe hook up the alternator.
Or not.

Tinkering and Riding

Ordered the shocks and got legal at the BMV.

Buttoning stuff up to get it road ready.
Maiden voyage tomorrow?
Finish the seat pan tomorrow hopefully.
 The chicken whisperer.
Road some country gravel with BCH.
These two look like brothers.
 Shameless.
Holiday farms.

A step ahead of myself.

Cleaned old parts, fitted new ones.
An hour of zen after a 12 hour work day.

Shiny.
 NOS shiny and rusty buddy.
Rubber meets road on Sunday?
1 Chain.

Ariel brand respirator.

Road trip and tire service

Cb160 just south of Dayton that needs attention.....

In parts.  Needs new jugs/top end.  The rest is mostly there.  If anything it's a good start.

Back home we got the tires and tubes on Hutchs' cb100 rims.
