Xe Máy Độ-Xe Máy Độc: 2000 Honda Insight

Gloss hell and bicycle blacking.

"He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist."

Expo purchase.
Why not, right?
The insight headlights just didn't shine like they used to..
 Until....!!
I guess?
I didn't really put that much effort into it... a 20 degree garage and an empty belly will do that to you.
 Wire wheel shine......
 ......vs metal gloss magic.
The picture doesn't do it justice.
I can see myself in the finish...
Getting the old tank bicycle ready for the weather we might get this week.
Forgot to get a chain.
Der.

Back has to match the front has to painted and sealed.
Don't judge me.

Powder hop<+>Skate stop

Quick trip to southern Indiana.
 Awbrey's powder coating.
http://www.powdercoat.tk/
Family owned small business.
Had to stop at the rainbow bakery on the way back.
Third weekend in 4 I have been to this place.
It's not a good thing when the donut shop guy recognizes you. (When you live an hour away)
It's been 7 years since I lived in Bloomington.
It was interesting to see some of the same kids (grown up) at the park.
Couldn't have asked for a better skate day.
 Tshirt in November.

Barber Volume 2: The swap, bikes, and grounds

I don't really know where to start.
Pictures are worth more than any words I could use here.

Beginning.
7:30 a.m.

Start a bike for the love of your life and don't get past the frame.
Something sad about this guy.

"I had fun once, it was awful."
 Approaching capacity.
 ???
 Cat
Goodbye (spelled wrong)
I should open up a translation service for old Japanese bikes...
There weren't many choppers down here.
This one grew on me every time we passed by it to unload goodies from the swap.
 Mermaids.
 Sea fairing vessel.
 :)
 Pinstriping.
The helmet show was sick..Indy needs one of these over the winter!
 On to the showcases.

Double c110 engine build in my future?

The grounds around the facility were beautiful.
Very different from Midohio...

Barber 2013 Volume 1

"BI's"

It all starts with the decision to make the trip.
7.5 hours one-way.  1000 miles plus round trip.
Sometimes there are tough decisions to be made.

BAD IDEAS

Chemical vegan.
My tongue is still slightly burned from the mixing of...whatever the hell is in this processed crap.
Bad Idea #1

The full of anticipation trip through Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee to Alabama wasn't too bad.
This guy decided to throw his cards in at the final hour.
Thanks for not letting me go alone.

It was 3:30?  4:30?
I don't remember.
2 hours of "sleep" above the battery.
Just before we rode through Birmingham and into the swap at 7:30 on Friday morning.

Bad Idea #2

 Fast Forward 12 hours.
It is time to drive home.
Delirious doesn't begin to describe the state we were both in.
Sunburns in October.
Swap meet high.
Road trip sore.
My little Insight is not made for the hills of the deep south.

Edith.
You will be missed.

Boobie Bungalow?
Everybody else's bad idea.
 Bad Idea #5 or so?
No lard, so full of "flavor."
 Bad Idea #6
 Bad Idea #7
 Bad Idea #8
The only redeeming quality of this food was that it was hot.
Kind of.
Just outside Nashville?
 Bad Idea #9
Only "let" this dude drive for an hour or so.
Justin's PB cups to the rescue.
Damn, I look old.
Bad Idea #10
Bad Idea #11.....
....was deciding to drive home after all that.
The last 2 or 3 hours consisted of Zac playing Queen.
I sang in Japanese as best I could.
Gonna start a youtube channel.
Or not.

This post itself was probably a bad idea.
Swap, Paddocks, and Grounds posts coming soonish.

Florida----Daytona Beach
