Xe Máy Độ-Xe Máy Độc: Gunz' 350

Gunnar's CB350 送別会

Probably the last bike I will do for anyone.  I have too many ideas/bikes of my own to focus on.
Still need an oil change and tune up but I think Gunz and the Gramps are going to take care of that.

3 of the best younger dudes out there.
Thanks for being so patient with my horrible sense of humor and mood swings.

Grant and Gunnar \/ Honda CB500 and CB350

The weather was amazing today...working on bikes is way more fun when it is warmer too.
Got a lot done.
Gunz should be taking his cb350 home tomorrow as long as CRC2 has what he needs.....then I can spend Sunday getting the garage ready to park my car in it for the real winter weather before it starts.

Grant and I rode back to my place and we took off his turn signals.

Before

After....sorry about the bad picture.

He also added Indiana to the front fender.  He made this plate in high school a while back.

Gunnar and Ben showed up a little later and I had his seat pan ready for some cushion.
Ben and Gunz put on the chain and we messed with the clutch for a minute but realized he needs a shifter lever and the clutch mechanism doesn't have the 3 steel balls it need to work properly.
Off to CRC2 tomorrow.
When they left I came in to finish it up.

Cut the foam with my electric meat knife again.....so good.  Fabric is ready too.

I hate rivets.
If they make an automatic rivet gun, I want it.
My baby hands always hurt so bad from this.

This is what the bike looks like done.  Bad picture again...I am too lazy to re-shoot.
I will get some decent shots before he takes her home tomorrow.

I also wired the bike up this morning.

I used the same rectifier that I have on my 350's.
Everything runs like it should.
(right now)
Checked the charging system and it was doing its job.

I had my workspace somewhat organized the other day.
Maybe I can clean tomorrow.

Gunz getting down

Atta' boy!
Clean dem jets.

I rebuilt the one and he rebuilt one.  Can't wait to get that bike runnin'!

Winter Solstice Garage Night

Garage nights have been good lately.  Solid grip of gentlemen came out tonight.
I love every one.

Gunz' bike is getting there.  He needs to order some basics and I need to mount the tank, make a seat, clean the carbs, and run electrical.

Starting to look like a motorbike.

Gunz CB350 update

Tonight's garage night was good.  Had a nice sized crew.  4 trucks, and Hutch rode his cb100 over.  Mocked up Gunz' Cb350 and gave him hell.  He is half my age, I have the right, right?

Ramen 4 life

Engine removal for the Gunz

Bro-down.
Fo-realz.
Ben helped too!
Jeff held it down in the garage.
It was fun watching you guys during extraction.
A real joy.
Too bad it didn't rain harder, then it would have gotten interesting.
 Cheese for miles.
 Irresistible charm.
Let's hope this engine has good compression.....

Moyou got a shower from mother nature today and was bummed at me for it.
So I let her lick my face to make her feel better.
Today in the backyard I realized that my dog can do burnouts and she drifts when she runs too.
Simply riveting.

Garage night every night lately

Gunnar finished the first round of rust remover and took the forks off for inspection
cleaning up a little on the wire wheel
I love that I don't really have to do anything for him, just show him once and let him figure it out.
This is how he wanted to do it.  Stoked!
The wiring and chopping on Christina's C110 is almost done.  Cut out the kidney to make room for the battery.  Put in a switch and fuse, add some mounts and it is ready to roll again.  I rebuilt the petcock today too. Too much gas work the last two days.  My brain is kinda fried.
Moyou hasn't gotten enough attention lately.  Couldn't have her out tonight because of all the wire brushing and grinding.....tomorrow we play!

Gunz has begun

Old man steez
 Soooo serious.
 Get off the Monon!
 Where's the brakes!
Moyou doesn't know what to think about these dudes........
