  The pony is legal and ridable but after a week or so of messing with the carb, asking and searching forums for advice I decided to give up and do what Xlint performance Guru told me to do. 

Buy a 36mm Mikuni.
Not for aircraft use.
Duly noted.

Weekend of bikes and translation

Grant came over last night and we put new shorty shocks and smaller turn signals on his bike.  The cb5000/550's look so much better with shorter shocks...lines baby, lines.
 Christina and I were going to go on a dream ride (both 60's Honda's) and of all things it was her brand new carb that messed up.......
 I think I hate Mikuni carbs.....maybe not though.  Custom tool.....
