Japanese Motobike Gold
Lebanon Swap restored my faith.
Tim, Hutch and I bright and early.
The theme was helmets.
I have a tiny skull......
The two helmets in the middle fit perfect, the one on the left was a little big but cheap.
The Bellmoto helmet fit nice too!
This is in such great condition...not a spot of grease on it!
I might scan and post pages from this on here......
Florence
Florence is my friend's favorite destination as she's been here before and she know this place quite well. We arrived in the rain late at night by car from Frosinone, further south, and we managed to find a small hotel in a huge old Florentine building near the river. The hotel owner, a lovely guy, told us to park the hire car on the Ponte Amerigo Vespucci, one of bridges over the Arno River. Parking in Italy was a night mare as people park by touch and we were very worried every time if any damage had been caused to our rental car. Anyway, we were fine without any drama and we got some excellent recommendations from hotel owners for food and the best way to reach the famous spots. We had a great meal at a small restaurant called Il Contadino in which the chef comes to tell the menu, which is different every night. We each ordered different dishes in each course so that we could try every thing on the menu that night!!!! It was one our best meals in Italy, and very much thanks to local knowledge.
Florence is a magical city but that's it for now.
To be continued
Flowers are beautiful
yeah.
The white flowers are from the plum tree.
Pink are from the peach tree.
The pear tree hasn't been doing much for me,
and the cherry blossoms in the front aren't ready yet.
Lots of work was done to get it to this point.
She is almost ready to go...
I wish Indiana didn't change it's bill of sale to title laws a few months ago......
1976 Honda XL250 Carb rebuild
I intended to just flip this bike but when a friend wants it, you have to give it some real attention.
Carb rebuild.....I will have it for you by Friday!!!
Didn't want to have to do this but I am glad I did.
The "mechanic" I bought this bike from must not have had a float bowl gasket..
...so he used this red crap that obviously reacts with gas.
I wonder why it was cutting out at 4,000/5,000RPM on the way to the gas station today.....
Stripped.
I think I want to make a dirt-bobber out of one of these or an XL350.
Not for me though...who wants one?
Carb bath and new jets, needle and gaskets on the way.
Oh yeah...went on the first mini road trip of the year today.
Too much to post....coming soon.
