Xe Máy Độ-Xe Máy Độc: The germ

Farewell my friend

The germ has found a new home.
It wasn't a tough decision to sell it but it was hard to see it go.
Aaron let me displace some gravel one last time before they loaded it in the truck.......
1st gear....2nd gear......and the slide to stop.
You will turn heads up in Ft. Wayne I am sure.
I won't miss this high compression engine kicking me back.......

Oil Spill on 46th....

So after you put a bike together you should go back and tighten everything down, make sure cotter pins are in place, chain has the right amount of slack...etc....before you ride around town...
This was my first bike with an oil cooler and those bolts slipped my mind........
I had ridden about 70 miles at this point but...
Thanks for your patience Hutch, Z, and S.....

I probably could have ridden home but thanks for the pick up!

Steer Inn June 2012

Steer Inn June 2012.
Saw some new old stuff and some old stuff.
Tired of the the brand new bikes..isn't it vintage bike night?

Memorial day isn't even over yet.

I guess CB360 clutch mechanisms are notorious for having a popping problem.
New clutch cables aren't made exactly to spec...among other things.
Z took off the adjuster nuts (at the engine and lever) and now it works!
He put new clutch plates in while it was open too.

CB360's definitely have more power than the older smaller 350 brother...
Who is that in the background?

Grizzle!  Put that thing away!

Mean muggin'.

Went for a short little ride.
I need to get a uni filter for my bike and possibly a smaller main jet....

Third day off in a row, third day of 90+ weather.
Smoothie time.

Rockers Reunion 2012

Rolling seven deep.
Ladies holdin' their own.
 Tons of bikes.
Lots of new junk that seemed out of place...
....and paint jobs that should not have been.
I know it's all personal preference but old bikes just look better old most of the time.

One of the only harley's I actually like.

 Overdone paint?
You decide.

The germ \\\\\///// Maiden Voyage

The germ got its first ride....
I don't know what I got it up to because it doesn't have a speedo yet...
Still needs some carb and electrical tweaking......
Oh, and I should probably get insurance...
      I blew 3 bulbs....including the 30 dollar fog light....boo.
 Ordering a regulator tonight!
The last two chinese engine bikes I worked on didn't have this problem...the opposite actually.
At least I know I will be bright at night!

Bodega

Sorry about the crappy cellphone photos.
First art show with bikes tonight.
Turned out to be pretty fun.
Met some new people.
Got to see some good friends.
A few students even stopped by! - ありがとう

Jeff!
